Account credit, invoices, and billing Link to this release
SteamLabs now has its own balance. Top up your account credit with a card, get a proper invoice for every top-up, and follow every change to your balance in one list. This is separate from the Steam wallet money inside your accounts, which works exactly as before.
Added
- Billing. A new area holds your balance, your top-ups, your transactions, and your invoices. Pick an amount, pay at the provider, and the credit lands once the payment is confirmed.
- VAT handled up front. VAT is charged on the top-up, so nothing is added later when you spend the credit. EU businesses with a validated VAT number are zero rated and the invoice carries the reverse-charge notice.
- Invoices you can download. Every completed top-up gets an invoice as a PDF. It freezes the billing details you had at the time, so editing your address later never rewrites an invoice that already went out.
- Billing notifications. Three new events in your notification settings: credit added, top-up failed, and invoice ready. Like every other event, each one can go to the dashboard, Discord, Telegram, or your own webhook.
- Billing in the activity feed. Credit added, invoices issued, and manual corrections now show up in your activity timeline under a Billing category.
- Docs. A new Account credit page covers topping up, VAT, invoices, and refunds.
Improved
- Expired and failed top-ups now tell you they failed instead of leaving you watching a balance that was never going to move.
